He took over as the Chairman of the Group in 1993. He joined the family business, The Muthoot Group, at a young age and became its Managing Director in 1979. George Muthoot, a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, attended various Executive Management Courses at the Harvard Business School. We ensure that referring Physicians and other Oncologists involved in the patient's care are kept fully apprised of those plans and the patient's progress during and after radiation therapy. As a multi-disciplinary team, we work with one another to develop individualized treatment plans for each patient. The centre is staffed by Doctors, Oncology Nurses, Physician Assistants, Technologists, Radiation Safety Officer and Medical Radiation Physicists, Medical Social Workers, Pharmacists and other dedicated Support Staff.

This new division hosts comprehensive treatment facilities with a modern chemotherapy suite, external and internal radiation therapy facilities, an oncology pharmacy, a dedicated radiotherapy CT simulator, a mini operation theatre, procedure rooms and outpatient departments with all other one-stop support services for patients and caregivers. The Cancer Centre has been set up to provide state-of-the-art oncological care based on a patient-centric approach.
